The Mount Carmel East project is a $310 million renovation project and expansion that will add a five-story, 128-bed patient tower. This expansion will be a part of the campus’ 381 room total after the project is fully complete in 2019.
The Mount Carmel development is a complete reconstruction of the 1969 structure. In addition to new patient rooms, state-of-the-art surgical suites, a level II trauma care unit, and updated entrance with easier access to the overall hospital and emergency department will be added.
