Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is meeting the high demand for specialized children’s healthcare with a massive $650 million-dollar, 745,200 square-foot expansion and renovation. This new project will consist of constructing a new, 8 story 609,100- square-foot patient tower addition; and renovating 136,100- square- feet of its existing critical care building at its main campus in Cincinnati, OH. This expansion and renovation will add 225 critical-care beds and 60 patient rooms for an expanded emergency department. This unique facility will provide medical services for the area’s sickest children which include; neonatal and pediatric intensive care, cardiac intensive care, and bone marrow transplants.
PIVOTEK was part of the design assist team selected early to design, implement, and coordinate 240 manufactured patient bathrooms for the new hospital. Lean design, construction methods, and manufacturing principles were implemented to optimize efficiencies throughout the project. PIVOTEK’s manufactured components were selected to exceed the high-quality standards expected by Children’s Hospital. PIVOTEK will begin manufacturing bathroom pods in the summer of 2019 for 210 typical and 30 ADA patient rooms.
